I really am very careful and intentional on how I have introduced Eden to food from the time she started eating solids. As a new mum I was a bit daunted with the do's and dont's. I actually stopped following what doctors and family said and did what I thought was right for her, based on my knowledge and passion for nutrition and wholesome eating. She now eats and thoroughly enjoys wide range of veggies, with no added preservatives or taste enhancements. She has the choice of other fast foods or processed quickies but doesnot enjoy them. ❌❗She has not gotten sick once this year and I do believe it's because I have taken extra care of what she eats.
Yes, I am one of those mothers 🙄😂And I am a firm believer that our health and overall outlook of food and what we expose our kids to ultimately sets them up for what they will see food as. This December try and introduce your kids to some whole foods and different textures. If they seeing you enjoying veggies and fruit they will probably be more open to trying it.
They are copying everything we do. Absorbing all our reactions, responses and views of how we label and classify things. And this will stick with them for a long time. So try and make better choices for you and your family to live more wholesome and healthier lives.
Our kids need to start eating wholesome stuff. We need to make sure of this. This is the only way we can combat the rate of disease and illness that is plaguing our country.

Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar? Was it Eden.. Nooo.. was it Shersh.. Nooo.. i swear it was Santa, he came early.. or it was Pupsters snuck out last night and jumped onto the table, opened the cookie jar and ate them, leaving no crumbs in sight.
Okay okay..It was me! I didnt steal it okay! I chose to eat it! Why do we make excuses for our indulgences? The guilt we feel.. is it really a bad thing? Yes and No
With the holiday season upon us, we all know we going to be indulging .. so enjoy it. It's pointless feeling guilty about the things you eat after you eat it. If you want to have a cookie, a mince pie, a chocolate or 2 or 3 have it.
Know that your relationship with food is so important with how you view yourself. Stop feeling guilty. Enjoy, savour and be intentional about what you want to eat.. that's the key.
In our home Food = Family = Fun = Connection. It also means Fuel = Mental strength = Mindset = real joy.
What does food resemble to you?
And yes January is when all the "diets" start and before we know life gets the better of us and we back to eating the way we want and then guilttripping about not going to gym enough. It's a cycle. If you want to break the cycle, start being real. If you love Food so what? I love food and I eat anything I like, but I know my body and have made adjustments in my diet on a daily basis to give me the most out of every meal.
You are what you eat they say, but I disagree .. you are what you think you are more than what you eat. You are beautiful just the way you are, you are amazing, sexy and worthy.
Any change that you want must come from within you, your deepest desires lead you to seek transformation..but they must be on terms you are willing to agree to. Start designing your life, your thoughts, your diet, your home by being in tune with YOU!! By the way, I love having my short nails back looking super cute in this #Barbiepink colour.. I can open all my snacks with ease😂 thank you @tammytaylornailsgrosvenorcross for being able to adjust my nails to this phase in my life.
